DAS BEER GARDEN’S ANNUAL DASTOBERFEST FEATURES TAKING BACK SUNDAY FOR 2023
DAS Beer Garden is bringing its 6th year of beer, brats and bands to Downtown Abacoa Saturday, Sept. 30 with its biggest live music act yet, Taking Back Sunday, to headline the 2023 DAStoberfest stage. In addition to the genre-defying rock concert from Taking Back Sunday that is sure to excite the early 2000s emo crowd, pop-punk fans and beer enthusiasts alike, the annual celebration will include all of the favorite Oktoberfest traditions guests can expect from DAS. Festivities include an open-air beer garden, live German music, stein-holding competition, Bavarian-style pub food, and plenty of Oktoberfest biers and other fall-flavored brews. DAStoberfest 2023 is a ticketed event at the Abacoa Amphitheater (not at the DAS Beer Garden restaurant). Event is rain or shine. No outside chairs or coolers permitted.
Taking Back Sunday If you can’t believe that Taking Back Sunday have been around for more than 20 years, you’re not alone, because they can’t either. Vocalist Adam Lazzara, guitarist-vocalist John Nolan, drummer Mark O’Connell and bassist Shaun Cooper are busy working on their 8th studio album. From the band’s landmark 2002 debut Tell All Your Friends to their most recent full-length, 2016’s Tidal Wave, Taking Back Sunday have evolved from a key player in the early 2000s emo scene to a genre-defying rock band who have three gold albums without ever ceasing to push the limitations of their sound. Used to constantly touring the world, including a 12 country 20-Year anniversary celebration in 2019, the band brought their vivacious energy back to their live shows all throughout 2022. They are looking forward to releasing new music in 2023 and getting back out on the road soon.
