You are cordially invited to the Embassy of Germany for the rare delight of a spring gala in Washington, DC, as the International Club of DC and the German Wine Society with the gracious cooperation of the Embassy of Germany present an elegant evening of German classical music, fine German wines, and seasonal cuisine in one of Washington’s most distinguished diplomatic settings.
The evening begins in the Embassy’s Carl Schurz Hall with a German wine reception, introductory remarks, and a chamber music concert featuring a joyful program of German and European compositions. Enjoy hors d’oeuvres and German sparkling wine for a prelude to a magic evening of German culture, music and cuisine. As you meet guests and diplomats indulge in a celebration of German culture and wine in a magical setting.
Guests joining us for the full evening will then continue to the Embassy House for a buffet dinner and dessert prepared by Chef Mikko Kosenen at the German Embassy. The dinner celebrates one of Germany’s most beloved spring traditions, Spargelzeit, accompanied by a curated selection of fine German wines representing seven of Germany’s renowned wine regions.
This special evening offers the rare pleasure of experiencing German culture through music, wine, and cuisine while enjoying the beauty and atmosphere of the Embassy of Germany. Guests may reserve either the reception and concert or the full evening including dinner. You are welcome to attend on your own or with friends. Seating is limited, especially for dinner, and advance registration is required.
