Oktoberfest, also known as “October Festival”, originated on October 12, 1810. Because the main drink during this festival is beer, people habitually call it the Oktoberfest. It is held in Munich, Germany every year from the end of September to the beginning of October, and lasts for two weeks until the first Sunday in October. It is the biggest event of the year in Munich.
