Since 1961, Bavarian Meats has been hand-crafting exactly what German-American sausage makers are supposed to hand-craft: over 50 types of sausages, wieners, cold cuts, smoked meats, and salami. As a third-generation family-owned and operated business, we use the same beloved recipes that Max Hofstatter (Grandpa Max) brought over from Munich in 1933. We take immense sausage-maker pride in everything we create – using only the finest natural ingredients and Old World preparation methods.

Opened September 5th, 2004, Die Bierstube is the second German tavern from Chris Navarra. A favorite haunt for neighbors in Roosevelt and students from nearby UW, ‘The Stube’ is a raucous place to meet friends and celebrate any occasion. Our fifteen German biers on tap taste great with a curried bockwurst or tangy sauerkraut. Whether you choose a stein or Read more...

1 Review on “Bavarian Meats”
This place is amazing. The store has pretty much everything you would want as a German living in America. From fresh meats to a good selection of beer the Bavarian Meats offers a wide variety of groceries. Like always we ended up spending more than we wanted to 😉 but that seems to always be the case at German stores. They also offer food to eat at the place but we got there an hour before closing and did not get a chance to try any of their meals. We’ll be back for sure to try some of their fresh-cooked meals.
Check out our video in the video tab above to get a walkthrough tour of the place. You’ll see how yummy and fresh everything looks.
