GermanShop24 is a family-owned business and was founded in 2007 by Stefan Kuehnert – originally as a hobby.
History
We started selling over the internet in September 2007 after setting up the very first version of our online shop. The assortment back then was just about 250 products, but still, we got in the first order just 2 days after the initial launch. During the following months, orders slightly increased to 5-6 orders per week and there was not much progress in 2008.
In 2009 Katrin Kuehnert joined the team and we started to expand our assortment. At the end of 2009, we offered about 2000 different items – all available to be ordered. Orders also went up in 2009 to about 30 per week.
In the years between 2010 and 2015, we nearly doubled our revenue each year and we now have a yearly sales volume of about $1.5 Million making us one of the leading online shops for German food worldwide, even though we are specialized in shipping to the US.
In 2015 we expanded our business and now serving wholesalers in different countries including the US and China. We offer air and sea freight services for wholesalers and take care of fulfilling all legal requirements for the destination countries.
